Bio

Nico currently serves as the Chief Growth Marketing Officer for Manulife in Asia as well as the Chief Marketing Officer of Focus Markets (Malaysia, Cambodia, and Myanmar). He has over 15 years of experience building new capabilities and business models for large financial institutions in Europe, the U.S., and Asia.

Prior to joining Manulife, Nico held multiple positions at MetLife, including founding member of its innovation center LumenLab in Singapore, Director of Digital Strategy for the U.S. Group Benefits business, and engaging with start-ups to build a health platform as Director of Digital Engagement Innovation in Korea.

Nico started his career building and running the business intelligence capabilities of Commerzbank’s investment banking and capital markets division in Frankfurt and London.

Nico has earned an MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He developed HKUST’s alumni community in New York and was a V.P. of the school’s Singapore chapter. He also holds a B.Sc. in Business Information Systems from the University of Rostock in Germany.
